The dream team behind Central Standard Brewing's success is Andy Boyd, Ian Crane, Emily Boyd, Sumer Crane, and Nathan Jackel. Together with their crew, they’ve created one of the most popular spaces in not just the DDD, but in all of Wichita. We might be biased, but the especially cool thing about CSB is its inviting sense of community – everyone is welcome and everyone shows up. Pop in and you’ll not only find crowds of friends laughing over a beer, you’ll also see babies bouncing on knees, dogs lying under the mid-century tables, and musicians, foodies, and neighborhood regulars playing yard games on the patio.
CSB prides itself in using Kansas-sourced ingredients (like raw wheat from Yoder, fruit from local orchards, and honey from Kansas wildflowers), and their hard work and creativity was recognized last year when they brought home a silver medal for their Standard Issue Grissett from the Great American Beer Festival in Denver.
Currently, CSB is currently serving up Drop Top Caddy, Hundo P Eureka, Sun Ra, Cyclogenesis, Spiral Galaxy, Girlfriend, Wizard of Hops, Hop Theory, #42, and LFLS. And if beer’s not your thing, they also make a mean sangria.
If you join the party this Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017 (and why wouldn’t you?) you’ll get to sing along to the musical talents of Ryan Windham, Project H, Dustin Arbuckle, Nathan Williams. You’ll also get to nom on the always delicious Flying Stove, Noble House, and Uno Mas. And, save room for ice cream because Little Lion will be there too. Weather permitting, there will be an outdoor stage, outdoor bars, special merchandise, games, and prizes.
