Women’s Equality Day is August 26, a day to commemorate the 97th anniversary of the adoption of the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote.
Stacy Lattin, co-owner of Hopping Gnome Brewing, DDD Board Member and head of DDD’s Marketing committee (she’s one busy lady!), is the organizer of a fantastic day of celebration!
The Douglas Design District, Old Town, & Delano are jam packed with women owned and run businesses. Ride the Q-Line Trolley up and down Douglas to a variety of events. Start the day with a free event at Aero Plains Brewing, 117 N. Handley, that includes a personal safety class by Fearless & Female, music, food and beer. Pack the Q, to shop at the many women owned businesses offering specials and discounts all day long. Then end the day watching “The Help” at 7:30pm at Gallery Alley!
