About Prairie Vistas Gallery
At my gallery you'll find evocative photographs of Kansas and the Great Plains.
I am an Oklahoma native, and a retired computer programmer. My wife, Shellee, and I have four grown children and are 42-year Wichita residents. I was inspired in 2002 by Australian photographer Ken Duncan’s book America Wide to retire from computer programming and adopt Kansas landscape photography as an encore career.
I love to photograph Kansas. The Kansas landscape doesn't shout for attention, but it is extremely varied, and is not at all "flyover country." My goal is to make evocative images of the state, with special emphasis on the Flint Hills and the prairie. I've succeeded when the viewer finds pleasure and respite amidst the beauty that fills the state.
